Hi! My name is Jennifer and I live in the north Dallas area. I graduated in 1994 from Texas A&aM with a bachelor’s degree in Speech Communications. I worked briefly as an elementary school teacher, have facilitated women’s ministry throughout the years, and helped to launch a Christ-centered women’s retreat in East Texas. After raising three children, I earned my master’s degree in Counseling from the University of North Texas in 2018. I have served clients in the school setting, in an assisted living facility, and in private practice.
I am especially passionate about supporting individuals through periods of adjustment and possibility, such as emerging adulthood, and the Empty Nest (or as I like to call it, the Open Nest) life stages. I believe we can experience unique healing and wellness through understanding our design, beliefs, experiences, and our whole selves within a greater story.
As a follower of Jesus, I believe He meets each of us where we are. I seek to honor my clients’ perspectives, experiences, families of origin, cultures, and enjoy collaborating with them to create and reach their wellness goals. My relationship with God is foundational to my personal wellness and professional practice, and I integrate faith in the counseling process to the degree clients desire this approach. I operate from a client-centered paradigm and utilize strategies from Adlerian, narrative, systems and cognitive behavioral therapy.
Outside of journeying with clients, I enjoy traveling with my husband and family, writing, and creating beautiful spaces.
